Yesterday we had character. Today where has it gone? Our spirituality was what gave us that character. Now we have become a cosmopolitan gang, a faceless mob. This gang is not a group of individuals. It is a horde of people

with no collective value. It might more properly be called a herd. The meaning of cosmopolitan is people who have lost both character and individuality.
