A turban is the crown of Islam. Now fewer and fewer wear it and some are even hostile towards it. What Arabs now wear resembles a woman’s headdress. The Companions whenever wearing a similar headdress would wrap a turban-cloth around as well. The Prophet (s) referred to it as the Crown of the Arabs.
