Allah Almighty ordered Sayyidina Musa, alayhi salam to remove his shoes as he was entering the sacred valley, Tuwa. What is the wisdom? Muslims remove their shoes before entering a holy place but as a symbol, explains Mawlana, they are those shoes that tread on the heart. Every dirtiness, inner and outer alters Truth, brings uncleanliness. Therefore Allah Almighty orders: If you want to come to Me, come clean.
