Born in Balkh Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi learned from his father, a great scholar of his time. The family left Balkh when it became unsafe and after years of travel settled in Konya. Mevlana became a revered scholar himself, taking over his father’s teaching duties. However he still yearned for knowledge. This was to be granted upon encountering Shams of Tabriz.

"So remember Me; I remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me (2:152) -فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ ". Those who forget Allah and leave His way, have no Adab. The worst sign of lack of Adab is forgetting your Creator. Mawlana reminds us of the saints who have the secret of "Be and it is".

It grants existence to the being. It gives courage to face bad things. It makes everything harmful leave you. To recite it is the biggest grant. It is Allāh’s ﷻ greatest name. It is a Heavenly Tap facing the Earth, taking people up and up and up. Be friends with Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
