The Prophet ﷺ encouraged us to visit the graves. He ﷺ said he will intercede (shafā‘ah) for those who visit him. Those who visit their parents on Friday and read Sūratu Yā-Sīn will be rewarded. We do not worship them, we show love to the ones Allāh ﷻ loves.
